Poem: To fall
Dec. 18th, 2014 11:43 pmO light! Revealing
In thy glare my crime:
My passion spilt out
Upon my charges many,
My heart torn and broken
Thru tearing theirs to nothings!
My crime, the suffering turned out
The pain made others'
No deed undone but it be
Done to they deserving
Or not.
And O light! Revealing
Only the empty space
Where love had sat within.
I sat and saw only a few remain'd:
The loyal, the brave,
Those aimed to conquer.
And those forgiving.
It is always by forgiveness
That we unconquered
Must be undone.
Then only is the doing
Worth the cost.
In thy glare my crime:
My passion spilt out
Upon my charges many,
My heart torn and broken
Thru tearing theirs to nothings!
My crime, the suffering turned out
The pain made others'
No deed undone but it be
Done to they deserving
Or not.
And O light! Revealing
Only the empty space
Where love had sat within.
I sat and saw only a few remain'd:
The loyal, the brave,
Those aimed to conquer.
And those forgiving.
It is always by forgiveness
That we unconquered
Must be undone.
Then only is the doing
Worth the cost.
